UPDATE - 4/12/19

 

As you may or may not be aware, we’ve recently been forced to close our doors.  We announced this to our staff on April 1st and immediately stopped all office and sales operations.

NO CONTRACTS WERE PROCESSED NOR DEPOSITS TAKEN AFTER MARCH 27th...EVEN IF YOU SIGNED YOUR CONTRACT PRIOR TO THIS DATE, IF THE FUNDS WERE NOT DEPOSITED BEFORE THE 28th, WE DID NOT DEPOSIT YOUR MONEY. CONTRARY TO OTHER REPORTS SURFACING OUT THERE, WE ARE NOT CONTINUING TO ACCEPT NEW CONTRACTS, AND WE ARE IN NO WAY TRYING TO SCAM PEOPLE OUT OF MONEY.

Meanwhile, we've been working hard to close out as many installations as possible while we still can. Today marks the end of our installations, and we are so sorry if we were not able to finish your project. However, we initiated a plan with most of our suppliers to still get your project completed...and in most cases, this will be done for roughly the balance of what you owe on your contract.  Here’s how…

You can now work directly with our suppliers to get your product at our wholesale cost.  We’ve sent your information to them and they will reach out to you soon.  They have your order on hand with the product type, dimensions, colors, etc., and in most cases they will ship directly to your home.  You can pay the supplier directly via credit card.

When you talk with the supplier, they will give you the name of installers who worked for us so you can contact them for installation once you receive your product.  These installers no longer work for our company, are not affiliated with the suppliers, and in most cases are not licensed contractors, but they are knowledgeable and legally able to perform your installation under the State handyman exemption. Installers will most likely need to be paid in cash or a check since they are not set up to accept credit cards.

In MOST cases, your additional out of pocket costs should be approximately the same as the balance of your contract. This means that your total out of pocket expenses will be roughly what you contracted with us...but instead of paying us the balance due, you're paying the supplier and the installer directly.

We are sorry for this unfortunate situation and any inconvenience this causes you. It's sad to see the legacy of Sun City Awning come to an end after nearly 50 years, but we are so grateful for the many loyal customers with whom we've had the pleasure of doing business.
